Terms of service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Dear Admissions ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

Right now the Service stores your account login credentials, checks your IMAP/SMTP email connection, and saves your school preferences and campus visit plans. Automated replies, open and click tracking, actions on school portals, events, campus visit sign-ups, Instagram, and Twitter/X, and generated content are not built yet. Social verification and YouTube account setup are not supported. Saving preferences or checking an email connection does not start any engagement. A campus visit plan does not register you with a school. You must register with the school directly.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Account linking

The Service works by accessing accounts you already own (email, school portals, social media) using credentials you provide. We do not create accounts on your behalf. You must own and have authorization to use any accounts you connect to our platform.

5. Billing and subscriptions

Subscription prices, billing intervals, and any trial terms are shown at checkout before payment. You can manage your subscription from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are given for partial periods.

6. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to access accounts you do not own or have authorization to use
• Provide false information about your identity or enrollment status
• Use the Service to harass, spam, or disrupt college admissions processes
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service to third parties

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we believe you are violating these terms. You may delete your account at any time, which will remove all stored data including connected account credentials.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that our service will result in college admission. We are not responsible for changes to college admissions policies, CRM tracking methods, or platform access restrictions that may affect the Service.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
